These bowls were formed by our guest, a family  from Swiss.  Two were formed by electric wheel throwing and the other two were by hand building. Everyone selected the color of celadon (or pale sea-green) except for daddy who choosed black.

According to the parents, it was their 10 years old son, the youngest of their family who wanted to try pottery making during their stay in Kyoto.  That’s why he replied “electric ! ” clearly by return when we asked ” which course you would like to try ?”

It was heartwarming seeing that the other family members watching over his first time electric wheel throwing.
