Around mid November  if you walk 5 minutes from Shunzan-gama (Sennyuji, Higashiyama, Kyoto) you can see beautiful colored leaves of maple trees in this area such as Tofuku-ji temple, Imakumano Kannon-ji temple in Sennyu-ji temple.

“Momiji Matsuri” (Festival held by pottery makers during colored leaves season) will be held from Nov 16 through 24 this year at the area between Tofukuji temple and Sennyu-ji temple. There are approx 30 pottery makers studio in this area. During the festival, you can find Kyoyaki potteires with discount prices.  Also there are special events such as “wheel throwing experience” “pottery studio tour” “Sake tasting” on Nov 16, 17, 23 and 24 .
