Komyo-in temple\u00a0is\u00a0one of sub temples of Tofuku-ji.\u00a0 This garden\u00a0was desined in 1939 by Mirei Shigemori who also designed gardens in Tofukuji temple. \u00a0 Three rocks in rear side are likened to the Buddha, and other rocks are arranged to depict the rays of light radiating from his body.\u00a0 The idea comes from the name of the temple. (Komyo means light).\u00a0\u00a0 You can also enjoy those\u00a0 cherry blossoms in April, azaria in May and\u00a0maple colored leaves in\u00a0November, planted\u00a0\u00a0so as to\u00a0surround the garden.<\/p>\n

This afternnon (April 9th) , cherry blossoms already started to fall from the trees but still beautiful. Since there was no other visitors in the temple, I\u00a0got the whole garden to myself . It was really nice time.<\/p>\n

From Shunzan-gama (Kyoto, Higashiyama, Sennyu-ji)\u00a0 to Fushimi Inari shrine,\u00a0 it takes 30 minutes by walk. Tofuku-ji and Komyo-in temple are on the way.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you are interested in such walking\u00a0tour, please do not hesitate to ask us.<\/p>\n
